Who We Are
Education Without Borders (EWB) at San Diego State University is a student organization that aims to highlight the issues affecting, and create a support system for, undocumented and other marginalized students which encourages diversity and the right to equal access of education. The Organization is comprized of undocumented students and allies with common goals.
What We Do
Provide networking resources such as community service, social events, fundraisers, and other leadership opportunities.
Our mission is to highlight the issues affecting underrepresented and often marginalized students in our local and extended communities. We strive to cultivate an environment that empowers students to further their education with the support of allies, while educating the community at large. We do so through raising awareness, community service, networking, and by sharing our experiences to break down stereotypes.
We seek to create change through the establishment of a support system that encourages diversity and the right to equal access of education. We aspire to become actively contributing members of society and global citizens by participating in endeavors that encourage personal growth and community improvement.
Education Without Borders as a student organization was founded on April 24th, 2009.
With EWB having been active for over 8 years now, there have been several generations of student leaders that have taken the role of officers for the organization. You can find out more about them by heading over to our Officers page.
